Masons Helping You Protect The Ones You Love

MasoniCh.I.P. Ontario…..”MAKING A DIFFERENCE”

The Masons of the Grand Lodge of Canada, in the Province of Ontario, have long held a commitment to the children, their families, and our community. Our MasoniCh.I.P. Program is the most comprehensive child identification service currently available, designed to give families a measure of protection against the ever-increasing problem of missing children. It is brought exclusively to Ontario families by Masons, free of charge and has worked successfully in more than 20 States in the U.S. for many years.

The MasoniCh.I.P. (Child ID Program) consists of five major components: vital child information, digital fingerprints, digital photographs, a digital video and a dental bite impression. All of this data, excepting the dental component, is burned onto a CD, and everything is given to the parents or guardian. Security and privacy are of the utmost importance; therefore, it is significant to note that the Ontario Masons keep nothing on file, with the exception of the permission form signed by the parent, prior to participation in any event.

The MasoniCh.I.P. Committee and District coordinators are working diligently to provide guidance so that this program can be brought to our communities. To be successful, the MasoniCh.I.P. Program must be made consistently available throughout this jurisdiction, and I invite you and your Lodge(s) to sponsor a Clinic. Step-by-step information is available to assist with the planning and organizing. All you need is a commitment from your Lodge, a few Volunteers who will be provided training; and an appropriate Venue and date. The Equipment required is available and will be reserved for your event.

It is our sincerest hope that no family will need the resource provided in our packets, but if the need should arise we believe the information that we provide from our program will be instrumental to law enforcement agencies in the recovery of a missing child. It only takes a few minutes from the time the CD-Rom is loaded into the Police computer for the AMBER ALERT broadcast to be sent through out their system.
